Moving on to a generation that you’ll be most likely to find, there’s the second generation. And this one comes with three trims: the SV, SL, and Platinum. While this one doesn’t have as many trims to pick from, that does make it easier to get the features that you want. This generation comes with one engine, and that’s the 5.6L V8, able to produce 390 horsepower, and 394 lb-ft of torque.
When the 2021 models came around, the Armada line saw a facelift. This facelift saw the line get some upgraded tech in the form of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging pad, as well as a larger infotainment screen as a whole.
While the engine and the trims stay the same during this time, it does come with better safety. This is thanks to the inclusion of Nissan's "Safety Shield 360.” This comes with a whole host of standard features, aimed at making sure that you, and your family are safe. The features that you can find are automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, and high beam assist.
Because the engine remained the same for this entire generation, you can find the same EPA rating. The Armada at its best is able to get 16 MPG combined, and while this isn’t as much as some of the other vehicles in the Nissan lineup, for a vehicle this size, it is far from terrible.
